I got this bike. It's great! The hub in the back is a little heavy. The belt is so quiet and smooth like butter. I would rebuy and will be buying for my son.

I just bought it and don't know what to think about it. I really think its cool but not for long rides. Also maybe it's because in a little out of shape but it feels like theres resistsnce when im pedalling. I think its heavy as hell.

According to google the Gen7 SL frameset weight is: 1050g - 56cm (frame-only, painted) 418g (fork-only, painted), which is very close to the new one. On the other side, on the new one they sacrificed the looks! Gen7, which I own, looks like a rocket ship, while the new one looks worse compared to Orca Aero or Canyon, but it's a lot more expensive. I would personally wouldn't upgrade, as the new one is a downgrade!

My 2023 Trance x e-2 came with a dead battery charger. It also came with no customer support! I called them and was told that I had to go through the dealer. The desler has my dead , verified charger and placed a warranty claim. Replacement? A month, a f%&king month fir a brand new, riden 2 hour, $5000 e-bike???? WTH?

Removing the 60 is a huge mistake. The short front end on the 58 is going to force me into a longer stem and put me in danger of toe overlap but the jump to the 62 has the top tube so high I can't ride it. I was 100% going to get this bike but now I am forced to pass. I wonder if Trek's bean counters are going to factor the lost sales into their brilliant cost cutting move.

You think 307g is respectable? Why do we need no weight limit? Is there a 400lb person riding an aero bike? Let’s be realistic. lol. The Roval Alpinist carbon seatpost has a 275lb weight limit and I believe is under 150g. That’s respectable.

i have the disc, the frame ergonomics is amazing, i've ridden mountain bikes my whole life before now, and i was shocked over how light it was, its amazing.

What a weird looking bike!

Thanks! Used this trick with mechanic’s wire in place of a shift cable, to route the brake cable all the way from the chain stay through to the head tube. Worked great. Even on a Time frame with a Hambini 1-piece BB already installed.

The large Trek logo is not a vibe otherwise the design is very nice!

Heavy considering this is now Trek's climbing bike. Emonda cancelled. I have a 2017 Trek Emonda that comes in at 14 lbs ready to ride.

I bought mine pre pandemic. I love it. I got rid of the plastic pedals with metal , the cheap seat it comes with ,to a split seat,better grips. And added a Bontrager rack/ bag system. Living in east,central Illinois. In cooler weather you might start out in a sweatshirt,then you get warm,so I have a bag to throw it in. 😊

Heavy, not far off an emtb nowadays, rear disc, too small for a medium to extra-large on 29ers; maybe okay on a small bike with a small person. The 180s are quite hard to stop on a Tektro single piston! I remember when I was a kid, Tektro on BMXs was amazing, pretty much top of the line on GT, etc. It's funny how they're way down there now with the likes of another massive brand, RST forks, now as bad as Zoom! It all depends on the price of this Trek and what needs changing out before the first ride! The narrow tire is good for the road. I won't even go there with SR Suntour; never again for me, personally. They just about wrote them off one time! Coil sprung with preload failed massively and stuck down totally collapsed : £450 UK in sales just now, down from £650. That's not bad; it's a great frame to build up!
